My ex husband was in the 377th FA back in 1976-78 then on to Ft Sill we went from 78-79.
Yes I have been thru Frackville. When we venture up to Shenandoah to Kolowaski's? The Polish Sausage place? Then on the way back, we stop at Cabela's. Do you know they have some wonderful German Cuckoo Clocks at Cabela's! I am trying to remember the one MP from Erlangen back then...he was from Maine I believe. Quensenberry was his last name. Did not of a Doug there...only a Doug at Herzo Base. Did alot of shopping at Erlangen/Furth area. ALso there was this neat HOtel in Erlangen we had Sunday breakfast at. It was situated on a corner location. I want to actually say The Erlangen Hotel. While in Herzo, did you venture to Tiffany's downtown? I understand from a German Friend Anja, that Tiffany's is not there anymore. And of course I am aware of the fact that Adidas is now on the old Herzo grounds. Gee Adidas was in downtown Herzo back then. I lived in Rezelsdorf. About 40km outside of Herzo. A little village w/ only five homes then. Lived above a Gasthoff...which is now a hotel! Unbelievable! LOL I am originally from Chester County, PA. Moving up here to Berks has been a culture shock for me. But I do like the fact there is alot of German Heritage here. And a few places where I can purchase German Food. I love my Schnitzel. LOL Actually Jager Schnitzel. Hmmmm...must be the German side of me coming out.
Thank you for your quick response...look forward to chatting with you!
Have a great week!
